First Projects Delivered for Free to be Kids

Free To Be Kids Project

We have delivered our first banners, signage and other printed resources for Free to be Kids, a London charity that works with children and young people who have had really tough starts in life.

Late last year, the charity was added to our roster of organisations – alongside Woodpecker Court and Woodpecker CIC and Waggy Tails – which we support with free consultations, printing, production and installation of external and internal signage and promotional banners. This enables our nominated organisations to showcase their work and attract volunteers, supporters and financial donors.

Founded a decade ago, Free to be Kids organises outdoor residential trips in the countryside. The outdoor adventures help the children escape the pressures of everyday life, spend time in nature, meet animals, build dens, camp under the stars, paddle on lakes and enjoy proper time to play, relax and just be kids again.

While the experiences are carefully designed to be fun, they help children feel valued and proud of themselves, building their confidence, self-esteem, social skills and resilience.

Daisy Mummery, Fundraising and Communications Manager at the charity, said:
“We are delighted to have Just AJD as a permanent partner and we’re so grateful for their support. As a small charity we have very limited budgets and before Just AJD came in to help we didn’t have any banners or signs that we could use for our events. Having a supply of these now is really helpful going forward.”

Andrew Ballington-James, Founder of Just AJD, said:
“It’s so gratifying to be able to support charities like Free to be Kids which hasn’t large budgets to raise its profile or market its work. Any help we give on these activities means more money going directly into giving children from very challenging backgrounds some fantastically positive outdoor experiences.”
