Andrew Ballington-James
About The Boss
Andrew Ballington-James brings a wealth of experience in print and publishing built on decades of delivering under the pressure of daily deadlines. He began his career in the 1970s at Daniel Greenaway, a specialist print firm in East London and an early adopter of digital print technology.
From there Andrew moved to The Times, overseeing the daily production of the Court Circulars and liaising directly with Royal Palace officials — a role requiring the highest levels of discretion and professionalism.
In the 1980s, Andrew joined Mirror Group Newspapers working on print titles including the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and Sporting Life where he worked at the company’s Holborn Circus head office in London. In the 1990s he left the Mirror Group after its well-documented issues with its finances and pension fund to start his own large-format print company which has grown through the acquisition of several other firms to become Just AJD.
Today, under Andrew’s leadership, Just AJD is known for providing reliable, flexible and cost-effective print solutions, tailored to meet the needs of clients of every size.
